Art Enrichment

At St. Mary, education in the arts is an essential part of a child’s learning. The arts promote the health and well being of children, including academic and personal growth, critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as imagination, creativity and innovation. With this in mind, St. Mary has developed a fine and performing arts program designed to enrich and enliven the school’s art curriculum.

St. Mary students are exposed to the arts early and regularly. Whether music is filling the halls of our Parish Center or students are heard practicing lines for our annual school production, the arts play an active role in educating our students.

The curriculum begins in kindergarten and provides diverse opportunities as students advance through the program. In the upper grades, students can explore a range of disciplines including theater, band, church choir, computer graphics, drawing and painting. The art enrichment program gives students the opportunity to explore different mediums of the arts.
