SERIES TWO: ROBOTICS (UPDATED 5/8/12)

INTRODUCTION TO LEGO ROBOTICS

This two-part lab is going to be held on Thursdays given the remaining Fridays are booked with other school events. The labs are designed to introduce the LEGO Mindstorm Robotics Kit to students that want a head start with them before they get rolled out as part of the curriculum in the fall. Students will learn the components of a pre-assembled robot and how to do some basic programming and then try to complete course challenges utilizing the mini-robots they have programmed.

The supervised labs will start at 2:15 and run until 3:45. Students may bring a snack to eat in the cafeteria prior to starting the lab. We are planning on a maximum of 28 students. There are only 5 slots still available as of May 8th.  There is a lab fee of $40 per student. This will cover both lab sessions. This robotics lab will be open to students currently enrolled in grades 3-8.
