PTU

St. Mary Catholic School has a high level of parent involvement. There is a very active Parent Teacher Unit engaged in a variety of fundraising activities. We also are committed to volunteering at the school and at school activities.

Traditional events sponsored by the PTU include August family social, welcome to the new school year care-packages for the teachers, doing something special for the teachers during Teachers’ Appreciation Week and an end of the year luncheon for the teachers.  PTU helps the school financially in a variety of projects decided upon by the membership in dialogue with theprincipal.  The PTU meets once a month.

We, the PTU of St. Mary Catholic School, grounded by our faith in God, commit ourselves to build community amongst school and parish family. As dedicated parents and teachers, we devote our efforts to raise and expend funds necessary to enhance the learning environment of our students. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we promote sound communications and social activities in order to cultivate a positive relationship between home and school and in our community.

The PTU's main purpose is to promote home & school communication and to provide financial, as well as, moral support for the school and teachers.

PTU meetings are generally held on the second Monday of each month unless otherwise posted.  They will take place in a school classroom @ 8:00pm.

Your PTU worked hard during the summer months to secure updated and more beneficial vendor contracts with new fundraiser vendors. We were able to increase the schools share for the same amount of activity. It is our hope to make each and every major fundraising activity a prosperous one. But as we all know, these activities cannot and will not be successful without the participation, hard work and donation of our family's talents and abilities! Please remember; all St. Mary Catholic School families are responsible for a minimum of 5 hours of volunteer work. In an effort to be more inclusive, fundraising activity Chairpersons will be recruiting help from parents of specific grades to help with specific fundraisers.

The St. Mary School PTU (Parent Teacher Unit) coordinates the Market Day program. This program is open to all parishioners and friends. Orders may be placed through the school or online at the website listed below.
